Who we are

LeadStudio is a Canadian-owned web design studio operating the website www.leadstudio.ca. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). For any privacy question, write to hello@leadstudio.ca.

What we collect

Through the contact form

Your full name and email address (required).
Your business name, the package you are interested in and your message (optional).
Your consent choices: that we may contact you about your request (required to send the form), and whether you want occasional tips and offers (optional).
Your approximate country, as detected by Cloudflare from your connection. It is added to the email we receive with your request.

Through the AI chat assistant

The questions you type and the assistant's answers in that conversation. Please do not type sensitive personal information in the chat.
The conversation is kept in your browser while the page is open, and only the last few messages are sent with each question so the assistant can answer.

Technical data

When you visit, our host receives standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
When you send the form or use the chat, Cloudflare Workers logs keep technical records of each request: the time, your approximate country, the package you chose and any error messages. These logs never contain your message or your chat content.
This site does not use analytics, advertising trackers or third-party cookies.

Why we use it

To answer your request and, if you become a client, to provide our services.
To answer your chat questions.
To send occasional tips and offers by email, only if you ticked that box. This is separate from your request and never required.
To keep the website secure and working.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf, only for the purposes above:

Cloudflare, Inc.: hosts this website and receives form submissions. Your chat content is sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to generate an answer; it is not stored by us. Cloudflare acts as our processor.
Google (Gmail): form requests are delivered by email to our inbox, which is hosted by Google, and we reply from it.

These providers may process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.

How long we keep it

Contact requests: as long as needed to answer you and follow up on your request. If you become a client, for the length of our relationship and as long as Canadian law requires for business and tax records.
Chat conversations: we do not store chat content. Cloudflare Workers AI processes it to generate an answer.
Technical logs: Cloudflare Workers logs keep the technical records described above (time, approximate country, chosen package, error messages), never your message or chat content.
Marketing consent: until you unsubscribe.

Your choices and rights

Unsubscribe from tips and offers anytime, using the link in any such email or by writing to us. We act on it within 10 business days.
Access: ask what personal information we hold about you.
Correction: ask us to fix information that is wrong.
Deletion: ask us to delete your information, unless we must keep it by law.
Withdraw consent to being contacted about your request at any time.

Send any of these requests to hello@leadstudio.ca. We answer within 30 days, as PIPEDA requires.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS only. Access to form submissions is limited to the people at LeadStudio who need it to answer you.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
